Founded and led by the dynamic duo Maja and Bruna, our team brings over 35 years of combined experience in tourism, helping travelers discover experiences that really stand out.

Since 2002, we’ve been based in the heart of Quito, Ecuador, and we’re proud to serve as a trusted gateway to Ecuador’s most remarkable destinations.

Over the years, we’ve helped travelers experience Ecuador’s landscapes and cultures in a way that feels thoughtful and genuine.

From Quito, we design journeys that bring people closer to the places they visit, creating memories that stay with them long after the trip ends.

Born in Bern, Switzerland, into an Italian family, Bruna Rea has spent decades building her life and career in Ecuador since 1988.

With extensive experience working with international groups, she leads COMETA TRAVEL as General and Operations Manager, overseeing the day-to-day running of the company. What she enjoys most is designing tailor-made journeys across Ecuador, from the Galápagos and the Amazon to the Andes and the Pacific Coast, always shaped around each traveler’s interests, with care, creativity, and real local insight.

Originally from Thun, Switzerland, Maja Homberger has been part of the YACHT ANGELITO family and team for nearly 40 years.

A certified Galápagos National Park Naturalist Guide since 1992, she has built a strong reputation as one of the most knowledgeable and trusted specialists in the islands.

Her lifelong connection to the Galápagos, combined with decades of guiding experience and a genuine passion for what she does, gives her an exceptional understanding of the archipelago’s wildlife, history, culture, and conservation challenges.

Through her work with both YACHT ANGELITO and COMETA TRAVEL, she continues to share this knowledge with travelers from around the world, helping them experience the islands in a meaningful and authentic way.

Together, Bruna and Maja combine local expertise, international perspective, and decades of experience to help travelers discover Ecuador and the Galápagos with confidence and peace of mind.
