Founded and led by the dynamic duo Maja and Bruna, our team brings over 35 years of combined experience in tourism, helping travelers find experiences that really stand out.
Maja & Bruna
Since 2002, we’ve been based in the heart of Quito, Ecuador, and we’re proud to be a trusted gateway to the country’s most remarkable places, including the Galápagos Islands.
Over the years, we’ve helped travelers experience Ecuador’s landscapes and cultures in a way that feels thoughtful and genuine.

Bruna Rea
Born in Bern, Switzerland, to Italian roots, Bruna Rea has spent decades building her life and career in Ecuador since 1988.
With extensive experience working with international groups, she leads COMETA TRAVEL as General and Operations Manager, overseeing the day-to-day running of the company. What she enjoys most is designing tailor-made journeys across Ecuador, from the Galápagos and the Amazon to the Andes and the Pacific Coast, always shaped around each traveler’s interests, with care, creativity, and real local insight.
Maja Homberger
Originally from Thun, Switzerland, Maja Homberger has been part of the YACHT ANGELITO family and team for nearly 40 years. A certified Galápagos National Park Naturalist Guide since 1992, she’s built a strong reputation as one of the most knowledgeable and trusted specialists in the islands.
Her long connection to the Galápagos, her vocation, deep, intuitive understanding, and passion for the Galápagos, combined with decades of guiding experience along with a genuine love for what she does, and her work at COMETA TRAVEL, give her a deep, well-rounded understanding of the archipelago’s wildlife, history, and culture.
Together, Maja and Bruna bring a thoughtful mix of European precision, Ecuadorian warmth, and decades of hands-on experience. It’s this balance that makes every COMETA TRAVEL journey feel genuine, personal, and truly memorable.
